It's been a long road for Christos Mylordos

Cypriot broadcaster, CyBC, decided to go another way this year with their national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest.

Namely, they decided to pick their singer before and then later, to pick a song for the artist. The show used for that was called Performance and a total of nine singers fought for the possibility to represent their country.

In the end it was Christos Milordos to take the trophy with more than 11,000 votes.

Then composers were asked to send in songs for the singer. Several reached the CyBC headquarters and a specially formed jury of seven people choose the entry, and on the 20th January it was announced it would be San Aggelos S’Agapisa composed by Andreas Anastasiou and the lyrics from Michalis Antoniou.

It wasn't until the 28th February that the public finally had the opportunity to hear the song when it was premiered in their main news show. The video for San Aggelos S’Agapisa by Maria Charis and was shot in Nicosia and Protara.

Who is Christos Mylordos?

Christos Mylordos was born on the 30th of April,1991 in Nicosia. He studied at first in a Greek school and later on he moved to an English school from which he graduated in 2010.

At the age of 13 he started piano, guitar and vocal lessons and had a degree from Royal School of Music and Rock school of Music.

He worked for 2 years as a professional singer. He took part in many festivals and contests and also he performed at many concerts and many shows in Cyprus

He has 2 CD singles which were launched in Cyprus and Greece.

His hobbies include tennis, swimming and informatics.

Cyprus has never won Europe's favourite TV-show. Their best result has been a fifth place in 1982, 1997 and 2004. Last year they qualified for the Final for the first time since 2005. Can they improve further this year?

Christos Mylordos will perform San Aggelos S’Agapisa as the ninth song in the second Semi-Final on 12th May in the  Düsseldorf Arena.
