Svala explained that Paper is about overcoming the anxiety that she experienced years ago. Her father, Bo Haldorsson, represented Iceland in the 1995 Eurovision Song Contest: "He told me to do my very best, put my heart into it and enjoy this experience. He will be reading out the points for Iceland this year."
