Iceland's Ari Ólafsson takes the stage for his first rehearsal

Iceland native Ari Ólafsson transformed the stage into a warm and magnetic space during his first rehearsal of 'Our Choice' this morning.
Against a bright, color-transforming backdrop, and joined by five backing singers, Ari gave an intimate performance of the Söngvakeppnin 2018 winning song Our Choice. His performance and staging worked to build tension, a lead up to his killer high note half way though the song.
Our Choice was written and composed by Thorunn Clausen.
Hailing from Reykjavic, Ari was born 21 May, 1998. A star at an early age, his angelic voice and stage-ready charm landed him lead roles at the National Theatre of Iceland. This charm no doubt helped him move from a backing vocalist at Söngvakeppnin last year, to centre on the Eurovision stage.
Regarding his impression of his time at the first rehearsal, the young delegate called it amazing. "I can't describe how good it feels to be here."
