A total of 258 new songs have been submitted for next year's Söngvakeppni. Twelve of those songs have been selected to compete in two heats on the 31st of January and the 7th of February. The final will take place on the 14th of February at the Haskolabio venue in Reykjavík.
The names of the composers and artists will be revealed at a later stage.
