Hungary: A Dal 2015 open for submissions

02 October 2014 at 09:13 CEST

A Dal 2015 is now open for submissions - songs can be entered until 15 November. After that, an expert commission will select those acts that will have the right to perform in one of the live shows in the beginning of next years.

In the semi-final and final shows, a combination of televoting and the verdict of an expert jury will decide the outcome. The exact dates of the live shows are yet to be announced.

Artists from outside Hungary are welcome to send their application but their submission will only be accepted if the performer is a Hungarian citizen or speaks fluent Hungarian. Songs submitted to A Dal should preferably be written in Hungarian language. However, the contestants may enter their songs in English and/or in any language of officially recognised national and ethnic minorities living in Hungary as well. A detailed version of the rules can be found on the A Dal website.

With its previous three successful editions and great results in the Eurovision Song Contest, A Dal has already become a tradtion. It has showed that the Hungarian music scene needs such a platform in order to introduce artists, bands and composers to a larger audience and to provide them a chance to compete internationally as well.
