Hosts' dresses for the Grand Final

22 May 2015 at 20:03 CEST
Silk mousseline, silk duchesse, leather fringe and laces - these are elements of dresses that three hosts, Arabella Kiesbauer, Alice Tumler and Mirjam Weichselbraun will wear on stage during the Grand Final. All three ladies go for black. Conchita, the Green Room host, wears a glittery violet costume that she will change in the course of the show.

At the Grand Final of the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest, Arabella will wear an evening gown with a lace top and multilayered skirt of silk mousseline, with trail. Alice will moderate the show in a strapless dress made of a black silk duchesse, with full-length leather fringes. Mirjam will have an evening dress on, made of French lace. Her skirt is made of silk mousseline decorated with feathers. All three dresses have been designed by Ariane Rhomberg, the ORF fashion expert.

At the beginning, Conchita wears a glittery violet costume - this is her flight look that was designed by JCHOERL in cooperation with Swarovski. The winner of the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest will moderate the show from the Green Room where she appears in a dress in a dark greenish-blue colour designed by Alexis Mabille Haute Couture.

During all live shows, the first and the second Semi-Finals and the Grand Final, the three hosts wear 12 dresses altogether: one in each Semi-Final and two in the Final show. All this happens thanks to successful collaboration between ORF and ART for ART. Roughly 300 hundred metres of cloth were used to sew all those handmade dresses. 1,5 kilometres of leather fringes were cut and 10.000 Swarovski Crystals were used for decorations.
