During the ceremony, Zippi Brand Frank, Deputy Mayor of Tel Aviv, passed on the Host City Insignia to Ahmed Aboutaleb, Mayor of Rotterdam. Providing advice to Mayor Aboutaleb, Zippi said: "My first piece of advice is to start working! It is a huge project and you need to prepare. And Dare to Dream Rotterdam!"
The insignia key chain, weighing over 30 kilograms with the new addition of Tel Aviv's insignia, was handed over to Rotterdam. The Dutch city is now officially the Host City of the Eurovision Song Contest 2020!
Mayor Aboutaleb then told the audience all that Rotterdam has to offer, with its modern architecture, green space and 180 nationalities. "When you visit Rotterdam, you get the world."
