Highway sings 'The Real Thing' for Montenegro!

The song is quite challenging, because it’s energetic and loud. We wanted to sound different and to set the audience in fire with our music", Petar, Luka, Marko and Bojan, the members of the band said during the show.
Skansi, who wrote the song for the band Highway believes that the guys are “quite brave” for going to Sweden with this kind of song. “It’s not going to be easy, but I think they deserve our support.”
We like to work with each other and we are glad that we came up with this song. The Eurovision is an amazing event. We take it quite seriously and we will our best", the Highway band members added.
The composers of the song are Skansi, the band guitarist Luka Vojvodic and Maro Market, the lyrics are written by Skansi, who is also responsible for the arrangement and production along with D'Knock, who was also credited with the mix and postproduction.
Skansi is a renowned Croatian producer who has previously worked with numerous national top performers. He has collaborated with artists like Dino Dvornik, Massimo, Toni Cetinski, Josipa Lisac, Psihomodo Pop and other popular musicians in the Balkans.
D'Knock is also an eminent producer who, independently and as a member of the production duo PlayOne, has achieved numerous worldwide successes, such as cooperation with the legendary British band Simply Red, remixing a single for their latest album, “Queen Of House Music” Barbara Tucker, legendary British producer and Grammy Award winner Andy Wright, popular Macedonian singer Kaliopi and many Croatian performers such as: Nina Badric, The Divas, Toni Cetinski and many others.
About the band
The Highway Band from Podgorica, Montenegro, who became popular after their great success in the regional TV show X Factor Adria, where they won the audience and jury with their excellent author performances and qualified for the high 4th place, have the honor to represent their country at this year's Eurovision Song Contest in Stockholm, with the song called The Real Thing.
The band members, Peter Tosic (lead vocal), Luka Vojvodic (guitar and vocal), Marko Pesic (guitar and vocal) and an associate member Bojan Jovovic (keyboards and vocal), do not hide their satisfaction over a big challenge ahead.
The guys from the band are thrilled to perform in the Globe Arena in Stockholm because, as they say, they believe in the power of their song. They will perform it in English, and they have revealed that the song is a fusion of rock and electronic music.
Montenegro qualified for the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest in both 2014 and 2015. Last year the country finished 13th, its best result to date.
