Poland's Gromee feat. Lukas Meijer light up during first rehearsal
02 May 2018 at 12:40 CESTAndrzej Gromala, best known as Gromee, is a Krakow-based DJ and producer. He has worked with international artists, including David Guetta, Enrique Iglesias, Alan Walker and Mariah Carey, and regularly delivers pop and dance radio hits around the world. Gromee has received double platinum, platinum and gold records for his numerous singles, and just released his debut album Chapter One this past March.
Gromee is joined on stage by Swedish singer-songwriter Lukas Meijer. Most of Lukas' musical life has been invested in his band No Sleep For Lucy. After collaborating with artists such as Stevie Aiello (30 Seconds To Mars) and Tommy Henriksen (Alice Cooper, Hollywood Vampires), Lukas expressed that the opportunity to work with Gromee is a great one.
In March, Gromee and Lukas won Krajowe Eliminacje 2018, the Polish national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest.

Light Me Up was written and composed by Andrzej Gromala, Lukas Meijer, Mahan Moin and Christian Rabb.
The rehearsal kicked off with Lukas Meijer dressed in a leather jacket and black hat and a piano-heavy dance music build-up. Lit up by pink and blue strobe lighting, Lukas belted out the song centre stage, while Gromee, in black, backs him in an elevated, see-through DJ booth nearby.
Three backing singers and a guitarist join Lukas and Gromee to their left and right to round out the electric staging. The pair use pyrotechnic flames to add flair to their performance.
As the song progressed, Lukas made full use of the bridges on stage to make his way to the outer ring. This will no doubt bring the energy closer to the audience in the arena during their live performance in the second Semi-Final.
"A lot of surprises and big lights"
When Eurovision.tv caught up with the pair after the performance, they shared their excitement: "We are finally in Lisbon, here on the big stage. You know, the song is called Light Me Up, so there is a lot of surprises and big lights - I think it went pretty good! Very, very good!"
Gromee feat. Lukas Meijer will represent Poland in the second Semi-Final of the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest on the 10th of May.
