Freaky Fortune feat. RiskyKidd qualified for the final in 2014 with the song 'Rise Up' EBU

As reported already in October, Greece’s participation depended on whether their broadcaster NERIT would become an Active Member of the European Broadcasting Union. While the broadcaster had already taken part in the previous song contest this year, it was based on an exception given last year.

Today, the decision was taken by the General Assembly that grants NERIT membership, meaning the broadcaster can take part in the contest in Vienna!

"We’re glad to have Greece joining the 60th Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna. Their dedication to the biggest music event in the world has been impressive throughout the years." says Jon Ola Sand, Executive Supervisor of the contest.

Greece has been one of the most successful countries at the Eurovision Song Contest in the last decade, winning the contest in 2005 and qualifying for the Final every year since the introduction of the Semi-Finals.
