It's been a while since Greece last held a national final to select its entry to the Eurovision Song Contest - 2017, fact fans!

But on Thursday 30 January, Greek broadcaster ERT will be airing a competition to find the country's song for Basel.

Ethnikós Telikós is the name of the new pre-selection format, which will call upon the Greek viewing public to help decide Greece's next Eurovision song. The public vote will make up 50% of the final score, with the other 50% coming from two juries - a Greek jury and an international panel, too.

On Friday 10 January, ERT revealed the names of the 12 artists that have been selected to compete in Ethnikós Telikós

ERT have also released the songs onto their YouTube channel, and you can listen to each of them right here:

Andy Nicolas – Lost My Way

BARBZ – Sirens

Evangelia – Vále

Nafsika GavrilakiUnhurt Me

Dinamiss – Odyssey

Thanos Lambrou – Free Love

RIKKI – Elevator (Up and Down)

Konstantinos Christoforou & Kostas Karafotis - Parádeisos

Georgina Kalais & John Vlaseros – High Road

Xannova Xan – Play It!

Klavdia – Asteromáta

Kostas Ageris – Gi Mou

At the 2024 Contest in Malmö, Greece was represented by Marina Satti and her song ZARI

Τα, τα, τα, τα, τα, τα
Πάμε put your hands up!

Marina's star-power performance took the song to the Grand Final, where it finished in 11th place. It became Greece's 41st Grand Final appearance out of 44 Eurovision Song Contest participations.

2025 will mark the 20th anniversary of Greece's Eurovision win in Kyiv, with My Number One by Helena Paparizou.

The song has gone on to become one of the most well-known Eurovision entries of the modern era, and it was one of three songs included in the sing-along interval act at Malmö 2024.
