'Unser Lied für Liverpool' will take place on German television channel Das Erste on Friday 3 March at 22:20 CET, hosted by the legendary performer and presenter Barbara Schöneberger live from the MMC Studios in Cologne.

International fans will be able to watch the show online via eurovision.de and the ARD-Mediathek platform, with a pre-show starting at 21:20 CET and exclusive backstage videos available via TikTok.

In addition, broadcaster NDR will provide subtitles and an audio transmission for the live broadcast, and Unser Lied für Liverpool will also be shown in German Sign Language (DGS) on eurovision.de and HbbTV.

The total number of competing acts has not been confirmed as yet, but at least one will have applied via TikTok, while a number will have been selected by NDR and a team of experts from within the music industry from the submissions made via the Eurovision.de website before Monday 28 November (2022). Broadcaster NDR also proactively approached a number of record companies and artists.

Last year, Germany sent Malik Harris to the Contest; you can listen to an exclusive interview with the 'Rockstar' on the official Eurovision Song Contest podcast, out now.
