On Friday 8 February, we watched in anticipation as Ich will zum ESC! drew to its conclusion.

The show, fronted by Eurovision Song Contest 2014 winner Conchita Wurst and Irish-German artist Rea Garvey, has been ongoing for the past few weeks. The purpose of the contest has been to find an up-and-coming artist to whom it can gift the opportunity of a slot in the German pre-selection for the 68th Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö.

After a public vote, Floryan has emerged as the winner, with his performance of the song Scars.

Floryan becomes the 9th and final act in the lineup for Germany's pre-selection Eurovision Song Contest – das Deutsche Finale 2024.
