Shortly before going up on stage we met the Georgian performers Nodi and Sophie waiting in the wings. They were warming up their voices and relaxing with their backing singers, one male and two female and voices from Sweden.
The song Waterfall is also the work of two local composers, Thomas G:son & Erik Bernholm. Together they wrote last years's Spanish entry Quedate Conmigo and Thomas also co-wrote the winning entry, Euphoria.
This pedigree alongside the great vocal rendition of Nodi Tatishvili & Sophie Gelovani is giving high hopes to the Georgian delegation that trusts completely in their team.
The press conference
"The rehearsal was amazing, beautiful, great, we are so happy now. Everything was perfect." after this compliments to the Swedish organisation Nodi congratulated the author Thomas G:son for the great job he's done for them.
"The only thing we can do is to sing with the whole of our hearts", continued Sophie, and so they did sing the chorus of their song a capella for the press. Sophie took part in a talent show where she made lots of friends and grew up as an artist. She loves singing with Nodi.
We're good friends and we have good experience singing together
The Head of Delegation seemed very confident about their chances: "Winning the Eurovision Song Contest is of course a great promotion for our country, so we'd be glad to win it and be able to host it in Tbilisi next year". Thomas G:son was also optimistic "but predicting this contest is impossible".
