Darude and Sebastian Rejman will perform the three songs live at UMK, Finland’s national final, on Saturday 2nd of March. The winning song will be selected by a combination of votes from an international jury and a public vote in Finland. He is most famous for his 1999 global smash hit dance track Sandstorm. The song did not appear on YouTube until 2009, but has already topped 145 million views. He is an award-winning DJ and music producer with a string of platinum-certified hit records and remains a global DJ icon. UMK: One artist, three songs For the second year in a row, UMK will feature an internally selected artist performing three songs for the public and an international jury to choose from. Last Year, Saara Aalto represented Finland with Monsters.The song beat Domino and Queens to become Finland’s 2018 Eurovision Song Contest entry. It qualified for the Grand Final, where it only finished 25th. Finland at the Eurovision Song Contest Finland debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest way back in 1961 and never finished higher than the sixth place achieved by Marion Rung with Tom Tom Tom in 1973, until Lordi delivered a stunning victory in 2006 with Hard Rock Hallelujah. Lordi’s entry remains the only one to reach the top ten at the Eurovision Song Contest final since 1989, but Darude might change all that this year. What do you think of Darude feat.
