Finland ready for the UMK Final

24 February 2012 at 21:48 CET

While rehearsals are in full swing at the Helsinki Ice Hall, Joona Kortesmäki, the male presenter of UMK, invited four of the remaining acts on stage (qualifiers in bold):

  • Mica Ikonen - Antaa Mennä
  • Pernilla Karlsson - När Jag Blundar
  • Ville Eetvartti - Lasikaupunki
  • Kaisa Vala - Habits Of Human Beings

Three of them, Mica, Pernilla and Ville were told to proceed to the green room as they were qualified for the final. There, the female presenter Anne Lainto was waiting to get their first happy reactions. Then Joona called the three remaining competitors (qualifiers in bold):

  • Iconcrash - We Are The Night
  • Freeman & Uusi Fantasia - Noitanainen
  • Stig - Laululeija

Two more were announced as finalists: Stig and Iconcrash. That meant that two of the acts were left behind in the voting for the five-member jury to save only one of them. They performed their songs in front of the jury and their fellow contestants:

  • Kaisa Vala - Habits Of Human Beings (Kaisa Vala)
  • Freeman & Uusi Fantasia - Noitanainen

Jury spokesman Tomi Saarinen announced then that Kaisa Vala was the act to join the final tomorrow. The final line-up looks like this (click to watch a video performance):
