Finland: four more through to Laulukilpailu final

Posted 22 January, 2010, 20:51

Among the participants in tonight's third semi-final of Eurovision Laulukilpailu we could find someone who is already used to international competitions: Maria Lund participated for Finland in the second Eurovision Dance Contest in Glasgow in 2008!
The five songs and singers fighting for a place in the 2010 Finnish national final tonight were the following (qualifiers in bold):
  • Maria Lund - Sydän Ymmärtää
  • Osmo Ikonen - Heaven Or Hell
  • Kuunkuiskaajat - Työlki Ellää
  • Linn - Fatal Moment
  • Eläkeläiset - Hulluna Humpasta
Despite not getting a direct qualification tonight, Maria Lund's Sydän Ymmärtää will be a part of the final as well getting a so-called wildcard by a specially formed jury.
The 2010 Finnish final will be held on the 30th of January at the Tampere Exhibition & Sports Centre and will be presented by 2007 Eurovision Song Contest host Jaana Pelkonen and Mikko Peltola.
Finland managed to qualify for the final of the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest with Waldo's People's Lose Control which was ultimately placed 25th last year in Moscow.
