Fans to gather in Munich on 17 January

Having organised annual fan conventions in Germany every year since 2001, OGAE Germany invites all fans of the Eurovision Song Contest for its upcoming event, which will take place on 17 January 2009 at the Wirtshaus zum Isartal in Munich. In the afternoon, there will be a record fair, a karaoke contest and a talk show with Eurovision Song Contest celebrities, one of which will be Bane Katić, one of the backstage presenters of the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest.

The evening programme will include concerts of Corinne Hermes, who won the 1983 Eurovision Song Contest in Munich, representing Luxembourg with Si La Vie Est Cadeau, as well as Sandra Kim, the youngest ever winner of the Eurovision Song Contest - she was just 13 when she won with J'Aime La Vie in 1986! Furthermore, the singers representing Iceland in the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest, Euroband, will perform as well - not just their entry This Is My Life, but many cover versions of Eurovision classics. More guest singers are yet to be announced, and surprise guests are promised as well. You can find more information on the convention and about how to order tickets on the website of OGAE Germany.
