Eurovision Young Dancers is just days away. Delegations from across Europe have arrived in Prague to begin rehearsals for the 15th edition of the competition. Yesterday the Opening Ceremony took place where many of the dancers met for the first time.

The Opening Ceremony of Eurovision Young Dancers 2017 took place in Prague on Sunday evening. Delegates were welcomed by representatives from Host Broadcaster Czech Television as well as the European Broadcasting Union. The evening provided an opportunity for the dancers to get to know each other in a relaxed setting.

Battling the blizzards

Winter has arrived in Europe and unfortunately some delegations were delayed on their journey to Prague. Denise Buttigieg from Malta, Christoffer Collins from Sweden and Patricija Crnkovič from Slovenia will all arrive today. Patricja in particular had a difficult journey as her first two connecting flights were cancelled. Let's hope it's third time lucky today!

Rehearsals begin

Rehersals for Saturday's show begin today. Each dancer will meet with the official choreographer Petr Zuska where they will work on the group dance together alongside their own solo performances. On Wednesday a social day is planned, it will be a chance for the dancers to relax, have fun and enjoy the atmosphere of the Czech capital in December.
