Eurovision flash mob mania to hit Oslo and Düsseldorf

26 March 2010 at 11:18 CET

Peter Svaar, Head of Press for the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest on behalf of host broadcaster NRK, said: "We want to share the Eurovision Song Contest, rather than just broadcast it. With 18,000 people live on location in Oslo dancing, plus video footage of large flash mob groups from ten major cities, the song, the movements, the arena, and all the cities will share a common musical experience together."

Earlier, flash mob recordings took place in Barcelona and Reykjavik.

Today at 17:30 local time, NRK will hold testshoots for their European tour at Oslo's city hall square, the Rådhusplassen. If you're planning to join, subscribe to the event on Facebook or simply join by surprise! If you're joining, know your moves and check out the instruction videos below:

On Friday, the 23rd of April, hundreds of dancers and Eurovision Song Contest fans are expected to show up at Düsseldorf's Burgplatz. Stay tuned for more cities and dates, as the Eurovision Song Contest flash mob team is expected to show up in nine more cities across Europe. Maybe yours..?
