Jan Lagermand Lundme, Head of Show at DR, is impressed by the creativity behind the ideas: "We have received such an overwhelming number of fantastic ideas that we have now taken the decision to include the result of the contributions – the interval act based on the ideas – as part of the Final of the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest!

"That said, we are far from done yet – we’ll enthusiastically accept more wild and spectacular ideas for acts that have never been seen on stage before. I don’t want to give too much away, but this will not be the last time we’ll ask for ideas and contributions from viewers and fans everywhere,"  he adds.

The thousands of ideas tagged with #MyEurovisionIdea ooze of creativity and inspiration. Some of the ideas include live mermaids, Lego bricks, Vikings, Eurovision legends like Celine Dion and ABBA and even a hug-a-thon with hugs from viewer to viewer throughout Europe.
