Broadcasters from 38 countries will take part in the 69th Eurovision Song Contest when the worldโ€™s biggest live music event comes to Basel, Switzerland in May 2025.

The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcaster the Swiss Broadcasting Corporation (SRG SSR) will be organising the 2025 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, which will be happening on May 13, 15 and 17 at St. Jakobshalle in Basel.

And we'll have 38 public service broadcasters joining us:

Participating Broadcasters

Basel 2025 will see all 37 participants return to the Eurovision Song Contest after taking part at Malmรถ 2024.

Montenegro's RTCG will be joining us again for the first time since Turin 2022. And Belgium's VRT will be with us after last participating at Liverpool 2023; Belgiumโ€™s French-speaking Walloon broadcaster RTBF took part in Malmรถ 2024, continuing the tradition of alternating Belgium's participations with VRT, the Dutch-speaking Flemish broadcaster.

32 of the 38 participating broadcasters will compete in Semi-Finals on Tuesday 13 and Thursday 15 May with the Top 10 from each qualifying for the Grand Final on Saturday 17 May based on public votes.

The draw to determine in which Semi Final they will perform will take place in Basel on Tuesday 28 January.

The other 5 broadcasters from France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom are pre-qualified for the Grand Final with host broadcaster SRG SSR from Switzerland.

Basel 2025

The 69th Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Basel, Switzerland after Nemo brought the country victory at Malmรถ 2024 with their song The Code

It will be the third time that Switzerland has hosted Eurovision, after the inaugural edition of the Contest came to us from Lugano in 1956 and the 1989 Contest was hosted at the Palais de Beaulieu in Lausanne.
