The Big Five participants – France, Germany, Italy, Spain and United Kingdom – each had their Second Rehearsals at the PalaOlimpico in Turin on Saturday 7 May.

Alvan & Ahez, Malik Harris, Mahmood & Blanco, Chanel and Sam Ryder each got their second opportunity to take to the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest stage and familiarise themselves with the space, the cameras, the sound and their marks, ahead of the all-important performances they’ll give for television viewers of the Grand Final on Saturday 14 May.

After their run-throughs had wrapped, the artists then attended the Press Conferences assigned to each of the Big Five countries. And it was during these meetings with the media that the artists got to draw the running order halves for the Grand Final – deciding whether they would perform in the First Half or the Second Half.

As host country, Italy had drawn their position in the Grand Final running order at the Head of Delegation meeting back in March. It was revealed then that they would perform in position number 9, so Italy did not take part in the draw today.
