On 30 August, either Maastricht or Rotterdam will become Host City of the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest. Today, Dutch Host Broadcaster NPO released a new image, leading us one step closer to Friday's revelation.
Today's teaser photo shows the Netherlands' Duncan Laurence in both hopeful Host Cities; in front of Rotterdam's iconic Erasmus Bridge on the left and posing in front of the historic architecture of Maastricht on the right.
Yesterday, a teaser video was released showing Duncan walking through the beautiful but distinct cities of Rotterdam and Maastricht.
As the excitement builds to the Host City announcement of this Friday, Eurovision 2020 is beginning to take shape in many other ways. Earlier this week at the season kick-off, Marnix Kaart and Marc Pos were announced as co-directors. In the same week, Gerben Bakker as Head of Show. Of his experience, Gerben shared: "I have given substantial creative leadership to live shows such as The Voice of Holland, Dance Dance Dance and the international finals of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. It is wonderful to make a good TV program through creativity, teamwork and experience."
Stay tuned for the big announcement this Friday 30 August at 12:00 CEST. Who do you think should host the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest?
