This Monday, the Semi-Finals and Grand Final of the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest will be available to watch on Netflix in the United States. The 2020 Eurovision Song Contest will also be available on-demand across the pond after the competition takes place next year.
The American company, which provides subscription service streaming movies and television episodes over the Internet, has licensed U.S. video-on-demand (VOD) rights for the 2019 and 2020 Eurovision Song Contests.
On Monday 22 July, the three shows of the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv will launch all at once offering US fans old and new the chance the binge on over 8 hours of the world’s biggest live music show all in one go!
U.S. viewers will be able to stream the first and second Semi-Finals broadcast on 14 and 16 May, and the Grand Final that was broadcast on 18 May 2019.
The upcoming 2020 Eurovision Song Contest in the Netherlands will be available for streaming on-demand too following the event.
“The European Broadcasting Union is thrilled that the world’s biggest entertainment show will now be available on-demand for viewers in the USA, one of the biggest TV markets,” said Eurovision Song Contest Executive Supervisor Jon Ola Sand. “U.S viewers will now get to enjoy all three of this year’s fantastic shows for the first time as well as the entire Contest in 2020. This is perfect timing with plans to launch a US version of the Contest in 2021.”
