The Grand Final starts with the flag parade, introducing all the participating artists and their countries.

"The Host Broadcaster DR explored all options, and came to the conclusion that they keep maximum flexibility in chosing a venue and host city by scheduling the Final for the 10th of May," says Jon Ola Sand, Executive Supervisor of the contest on behalf of EBU/EUROVISION.

"We have tried to find a date that suits the cities that currently compete for hosting and which also fits our European colleagues," says Pernille Gaardbo, Executive Producer of the contest on behalf of Host Broadcaster DR.

The Semi-Finals will take place on Tuesday, 6th and Thursday, 8th of May. The preliminary dates for the Contest were the 13th, 15th and the 17th of May.

Three Danish cities are still in the running to host Europe's favorite TV show in 2014, which reached over 170 million people this year. Emmelie de Forest won the competition for Denmark with the song Only Teardrops.
