Unlike in previous years, VRT is going all out to find its candidate with a series of castings, semi-finals and a grand final, in order to find its act for the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen in May.

  • Udo (93%)
  • Nelson (86%)
  • Eva Jacobs (86%)
  • Axel Hirsoux (84%)

Four acts also received a ticket to the Callback stage of the competition, where they will have one more chance to reach the Semi-Finals:

  • Joyce (82%)
  • 2 Fabiola feat. Loredana (81%)
  • Jessy (81%)

Moved to tears

Udo, who received the most votes from the jury, made up of experts Bart Peeters, Piet Goddaer and Jef Martens, sang a rendition of Céline Dion's 1988 winning entry, Ne Partez Pas Sans Moi and in the process managed to move them to tears with a touching performance.

Belgium will take part in the second half of the first Semi-Final of the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen, Denmark on the 6th of May. This year it is the turn of the Flemish broadcaster VRT to pick the Belgian entry.
