Estonian semi-finalists announced

Today on the much revered Ringvaade show in Estonia, the 20 semi-finalists who will take part in the Estonian national selection, Eesti Laul, were revealed. Among them are several well known names and previous participants. In addition, Robin Juhkenthal represented Estonia at the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo as the lead singer of the group Malcolm Lincoln where they came 14th in the first Semi-Final. 

Acts including Elina Born, Stig Rästa and Liss Lemsalu have all taken part in Eesti Laul previously. You will also note that the split of songs in Estonian and English is 50:50. 

The two Semi-Finals of Eesti Laul 2015 will take place on the 7th and 14th of February with the final taking place on the 21st.

Estonia will take part in one of the two Semi-Finals of the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest, which takes place in Vienna, Austria on the 19th, 21st and 23rd of May. 

Eesti Laul 2015: Facts & figures


  • 219 songs submitted; and revealed on the 4th of December on the Ringvaade show.
  • The first semi-final will take place on the 7th of February 2015,
  • The second semi-final is planned for the 14th of February 2015,
  • The final round is scheduled for the 21st of February 2015.
