Don't worry, Esther did not commit a criminal offence and will only go to jail for one night! The singer and music teacher is going to prison to give a special concert, in co-operation with Dutch broadcaster NCRV and the Exodus Foundation, which prepares prisoners for their return to society. Dutch radio personality and Eurovision Song Contest commentator Hijlco Span wrote that on his blog.
For the occasion of this so-called Jail Concert, a poetry competition is being organized among prisoners. The winning poem will be the basis of a special theme song, to be performed by Esther Hart. The chosen theme is 'dare to believe in change'.
Esther Hart, whose actual name is Katinka Hartkamp, will also perform several songs from her own reportoire, and One More Night is most likely to feature in her playlist. Her Eurovision Song Contest entry finished 13th.
