
Over 20 acts to appear at Madrid's ESPreParty this weekend
18 April 2018 at 21:30 CESTIt is the second time Madrid hosts a preparty to the Eurovision Song Contest organised by fan site Eurovision-Spain.com. Broadcaster RTVE will air the ESPreParty live starting at 22:00 CEST from La Riviera of Madrid. The concert can be also be watched at RTVE.es/Eurovision.
Just days after a highly successful 10th edition of Eurovision in Concert, which traditionally took place in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, artists across Europe are repacking their suitcases for their next gig. So far, the confirmed acts include Eugent Bushpepa (Albania), Michael Schulte (Germany), Sevak Khanagyan (Armenia), Sennek (Belgium), Alekseev (Belarus), Mikolas Josef (Czech Republic), Lea Sirk (Slovenia), Madame Monsieur (France), Ryan O'Saughnessy (Ireland), Laura Rizzotto (Latvia), DoReDos (Moldova), SuRie (United Kingdom), Eye Cue (F.Y.R. Macedonia), Jessika & Jenifer Brening (San Marino), ZiBBZ (Switzerland) and Cláudia Pascoal from the host country, Portugal.

Iberian Connection
The theme of the event is the Iberian Connection for the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the first ever Spanish Eurovision victory, which Massiel took home with La La La in 1968. The anniversary coinciding with the first time ever neighbouring country Portugal hosts the contest For that very reason, the concert will feature special guests Lucía Pérez (Spain 2011), Filipa Sousa (Portugal 2012) and Susanne Georgi (Andorra 2009). Last year’s Spanish Eurovision participant Manel Navarro will also be present to pass the baton to Amaia y Alfred.

A pre-preparty
For those who can't get enough of it, there will also be a Welcome ESPreParty concert on Friday, 20th of April at Joy Eslava in Madrid. Acts performing include Coral Segovia (Spanish selection 2008 & 2010), Davinia (Spanish selection 2004), Jenny (Andorra 2006), Jorge González (Spanish selection 2009 & 2014), Milena Brody (backing singer for Spain 2014 & 2016), Nicoleta Sava (Moldova’s selection 2018), Raúl (Spanish selection 2000 & 2014), Stella Mwangi (Norway 2011) and Alexandra (Norway’s selection 2018)
