Until the very last minute, artists who took part in Eurovision Song Contest in 2011 waited for the points from all the participating countries. Eric’s song Popular was even in the lead that year, but on the end it finished on the honorable third place.

This time, instead of performing, Eric Saade is going to share the excitement from the Green Room with the millions of viewers across Europe. Christer Björkman the show producer of this year’s Eurovision Song Contest believes that Eric is the ultimate person for the task.

“It will be just as perfect as the opening act of Björn, Benny and Avicii. Eric is absolutely perfect for this job. As he was in the lead two years ago, he knows well how nerve wracking it is for contestants, who are sitting in the Green Room”, Björkman said.

Tension and excitement are very important elements of the show. In other words, producers of the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Malmö, want to be sure that this time it’s gonna be equally exciting as in previous shows. “Last year with Loreen we were not so nervous, but with Eric it was incredibly exciting and I believe that this year it could be the same”, the show producer explained.
