Noel Curran has taken up his position as the new Director General of the EBU. He replaces Ingrid Deltenre who has stepped down after eight years to focus her attention on her Board responsibilities. Noel was the Executive Producer of the 1997 Eurovision Song Contest is married to former Eurovision winner Eimear Quinn.Â
