EBU officially starts search for new song contest manager

20 September 2010 at 01:05 CEST

Due to internal reorganisations, the Eurovision Song Contest will be directly lead by the TV Director of the EBU, whereas for the operation of the project the EBU is appointing a project manager. This project manager, who will take over Svante Stockselius' job, will have "a major influence on the development and production of the most prominent pan-national entertainment show in the world," as the job description says.

Jørgen Franck, TV Director ad interim at the European Broadcasting Union, said to Eurovision.tv: "Until the end of the year, the song contest will be supervised by Svante Stockselius, who did an amazing job during the eight years of his mandate. To ensure a smooth transition, we have to start this search now, and have to make sure the next song contest manager is in place before the end of the year."

The official job description and more information about the application process can be found here. Applications have to be in before the 30th of September via [email protected].
