The city of Herning will be hosting the whole event which will be preceded by several events in the days before. The 2400 tickets will go for sale on 3rd of December.
It was a surprise for many fans that DR plans a big event as they had kept it very silent for a long time. But the surprise has been positive, indeed. The broadcaster expects there to be various events before the national selection, so it would be much more than just a Saturday evening TV-show. The final itself will be held on 31st of January.
Herning hosted the Danish final back in 2001 as well, when Denmark was the host country of the Eurovision Song Contest, won by the Estonian duo Tanel Padar and Dave Benton with Everybody.
