Dihaj is honored to represent Azerbaijan in the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest. A spectacular entry reveals a story of passion, the singer’s inner world and personal struggle. One thing is for sure: It is a very different entry compared to Azerbaijan's previous entries.

On 2014, Dihaj pursued the dream of creating her own band, while studying various genres of music in London. Her electronic music collective consists of three musicians, who've had their breakthrough with the song I Break Again, which features Azerbaijani jazz pianist Isfar Sarabsky. Dihaj fondly recalls the group's participation in the Grand Opening of the Baku Jazz Festival in 2010 and Tbilisi Open Air just last summer.

Skeletons could easily be considered edgy. It tells the story of a strong woman who is passionate about a bad guy. Dihaj allows herself to be led by her feelings and emotions, but at the same time remains self-controlled. She always stays true to herself and enjoys every aspect of her life — from loneliness, relationship and stress, to blue sky and oxygen — which is the foundation of her music.

The stage performance of Skeletons reflects Dihaj' artistic approach: "The box signed with various words depicts my inner world, while the guy with a horse mask sitting on the ladder impersonates a bad boy. The ladder and the mask imply a huge emotional distance between us," she explains. As the performance comes to an end, she leaves the box, getting over a self-destructive relationship and deciding to put an end to it.

Being a devoted musician, Dihaj perfectly manages to combine her career with family life, raising her beautiful daughter Savi. "You have to do all stuff you do in life with all your heart," is the singer's motto.

Azerbaijan's next rehearsal will take place on Thursday, 4th of May. Next, Azerbaijan will take part in the first Semi-Final on Tuesday, 9th of May.
