Get ready for ‘Eurovision Song Contest 2024 - The Draw’ which broadcasts live from Malmö on Tuesday 30 January at 19:00 CET, and decides which of the two Semi-Finals the participating countries will compete in next May.

The Draw will be hosted by Pernilla Månsson Colt, who oversaw the allocation draw back in 2013 too, and Farah Abadi.

Pernilla said:

It will be great fun to kick off Sweden's Eurovision year from Malmö, and The Draw can be more important than you might think for the competition later!

Farah added:

This is the kick-off for Eurovision and it's extra fun to be able to do the program together with Pernilla, particularly as it’s in our hometown Malmö!

France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom automatically qualify for the Grand Final as the so-called ‘Big Five’ participants, alongside the current champions Sweden, so while they won’t compete in a Semi-Final, The Draw will determine which Semi-Final viewers in those countries can vote on. Preview performance clips from the stage rehearsals of the ‘Big Five’ and Sweden will also be broadcast during the Semi-Final that they draw.
