Details of Moldovan national selection

27 December 2013 at 17:19 CET

The whole Eurovision procedure in Moldova is divided into three exciting but tough for jury rounds. The first one includes internal reviewing of the applications and selection of the contestants. In the second round, 60 best hopefuls will be chosen for the live interviews and auditions. In the third round, on February 1st, the professional jury will choose 24 best candidates for two national semi-finals.

The semi-finals will take place on March 11th and 13th. From each show, 7 or 8 contestants will proceed to the national final. They will be chosen by the joint decision of an expert jury and the televoting.

All Moldovan musically talented citizens are allowed to send in their applications till January 23rd. This rule doesn’t concern the authors or lyricists of applicants’ entries – they can come from abroad.

Last year, Aliona Moon represented Moldova with her beautiful song O Mie. She achieved 11th place in the Grand Final.
