Destination Lisbon (#43): Meet Cláudia Pascoal from Portugal

In the 43rd and indeed last part of 'Destination Lisbon', our feature counting down to the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest, we get to know Cláudia Pascoal from who will represent host country Portugal with the song 'O Jardim'.

In March, Cláudia Pascoal won the Portuguese national selection for the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest, Festival da Canção. The winner was decided by a combination of jury and public votes. Read more.. 

Cláudia Pascoal was born on the 12th of October, 1994, and currently lives in Gondomar, Portugual. Cláudia played guitar since she was 15 years old and started her musical career as a street artist.

Besides singing, Portugal's hope at this year's Eurovision Song Contest presented a national talkshow for teenagers called CurtoCircuito and participated in TV shows such as Ídolos (the Portuguese version of Idol) in 2015 and The Voice of Portugal in 2017, where she was one of the finalists. 

Cláudia is also the lead singer of the band MORHUA:

Earlier this year, Cláudia won the Portuguese national selection for the first ever Eurovision Song Contest on Portuguese soil with the song O Jardim. The song was composed and produced by Isaura, who accompanies Cláudia on stage.

Cláudia Pascoal will represent Portugal in the Grand Final of the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon on the 12th of May.
