Destination Lisbon (30): Meet San Marino's Jessika ft. Jenifer Brening

In March, Jessika featuring Jenifer Brening won 1in360, the Sammarinese national selection for the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest. It was the first time San Marino held a national selection since they joined the contest in 2008. Read more..

We caught up with Jessika featuring Jenifer Brening after winning 1in360: 

About Jessika Muscat 

Jessika, born on 27 February, 1989, is a Maltese singer-songwriter and actress, who was discovered on Maltese national television in 2008 during the Maltese national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest. Jessika took part in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2016, but never won to represent Malta.

In 2014 Jessika teamed up with Philip Vella and Gerard James Borg and created the song Hypnotica which won the TVM Award. In August 2017 she released her latest track Edge Of Tomorrow.

Jessika now found her way to the Eurovision Song Contest representing San Marino instead of her home country.

About Jenifer Brening

Jenifer was born on 15 December 15, 1996, in Berlin, Germany. She discovered YouTube at an early stage, where she published several covers of international hits and built up an audience.

Jenifer previously reached the finals of the show The Winner Is on German television and in released her debut single Not That Guy in 2013. In 2014 she won Best Newcomer at the EMMAwards. In 2015 she released her first self-written single, ASAP. Her debut album Recovery, which came out in 2016, contained songs that Jenifer composed and wrote herself.

In 2017 Jenifer as she was invited to ARD's morning show to perform an unplugged version of Remember. She also released her fourth single, Breathe, that same year.

While from Malta and Germany respectively, Jessika and Jenifer made their way through San Marino's global talent search, which was conducted online as well as on television.

Jessika featuring Jenifer Brening will represent San Marino in the second Semi-Final of the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon on the 10th of May.
