Bringing the 60s to the Wiener Stadthalle
The first impression you get from the Danish performance is that it is pretty retro. This of course reflects the nature of the song bringing you back to the age of the Beatles and Rolling Stones to name but a few. On stage two backing singers in pink dresses join the boys on stage, very reminiscent of the fashions of that swinging decade.
A black and white stage design with accents of colour bursting into the song also add a more modern feel to the song, acting as a fusion.
Philip, Nikolaj, Emil and David from Anti Social Media arrived at the Wiener Stadthalle in high spirits ahead of their first rehearsal today. Joking around as usual, they gladly met the press and of course Eurovision.tv before performing their song The Way Your Are on the beautiful Vienna stage.
It's been quite an adventure for them since winning the Danish national final, Dansk Melodi Grand Prix back in February. In fact they released their new single The Way yesterday.
"Worldwide ambassador for Gingers"
For a change, we decided to hand the boys our microphone so they could interview each other and it didn't quite go to plan! The conversation very quickly went to the subject of hair, where Emil was asked if his hair always looked so nice. In addition, Philip was declared "King of Gingers" by his bandmates. He also had a secret to reveal, which you can see below!
What do you think of the Danish rehearsal today? Do they have what it takes to qualify? Tell us below!
