09 October 2008 at 14:02 CEST

Yesterday was the deadline for submitting entries to the Danish selection. Some names who desire to represent Denmark in the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest have already been revealed. Amoung them are DQ (Peter Andersen) who did the job already in 2007 with Drama Queen, as well as the co-writer of that song, Claus Christen. The popular singers Sussi and Leo are also said to have submitted their entry, according to esconnet.dk.

Compared to last year, there is a significant change in the Danish selection process this year: no semi-finals will be held, only a grand final will take place. The final will take place on 31st of January with ten songs competing. Six of those will be chosen from the 684 submitted entries, four places are reserved for invited singers and groups.

Denmark finished 15th in the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest with All Night Long by Simon Mathew.
