[Day 12] The Dress Rehearsal and Jury Final #JoinUs

@23:30 We are counting the last hours until the most exciting Eurovision moments! Are you ready for the Grand Final? Who is your personal favourite?

@23:15 One of the interval acts in the Grand Final is the perfomance of the official #JoinUs song. On Saturday the 10th of May, Emmelie and the 26 participants who have made it to the final will sing the song together just as the voting is nearing its finish and the show culminates. However, you can already download this track or listen to it online.

@22:12 Tonght is the Jury Final and as we already mentioned, the European Broadcasting Union and the Eurovision Song Contest Reference Group have decided to reveal the names of the national jurors who will be voting in the Grand Final and one respective Semi-Final of the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest in advance to create more openness this year. @20:15 It's quite calm in B&W Hallerne at the moment, but not for long. Another Dress Rehearsal is ahead of us, but this time it's all about the juries. Our 26 finalists will perform for the experts only (however, some audience in arena as well). Still, 37 countries will take part in voting, but we won't find out the results before the show tomorrow tonigt!

@19:59 "There are still some details to clear, Anyway we are in the hands of universe now. I try to keep calm to save my voice, but to be honest I have vocaltrainings in 20 minutes. I like number 20 by the way, but I will be performing 19, that's also ok, because I feel like I'm nineteen", Ruth from Spain said, also revealing that she is going to wear another dress on Saturday and that the rumours how she spent two thousands of euros for it, are not true. @19:43 The next to hold the press conference in B&W Hallerne today is Italy. Emma is a huge star in her country, still she sees Eurovision as an important chapter in her career. "Taking part in Eurovision is important for me, for my life and my work, because I want to bring my music outside of Italy too", she said. More details to come, stay tuned!

@19:21 During his press conference, Basim from Denmark was asked which artists had made an impression on him so far to which he said, "Conchita from Austra was fabulous and definitely had the best vocals of the Semi-Finals". He also mentioned that the guy with the parachute from Georgia was "really cool".

@18:48 Today was the first time that Molly from United Kingdom had performed her entry in front of an audience at the B&W Hallerne in Copenhagen. "I love working to an audience" stated Molly, "and I'm more comfortable than just with the cameras."

@18:35 Ela, one of the girls from German trio, shared her feelings and emotions after their rehearsal today: "Everything was amazing. And people were just creaming in the arena. @17:40 We mentioned already that the show on Saturday will start with the appearance of all 26 contestants. They will show up on stage while being introduced the audience. Check out what's going on in the backstage, before the finalists get on the stage.

@17:15 After some chit-chat moments in the Green room, the host will pay "some respect" to the number 12. Everyone in the Green Room hopes to get as many 12 points as possible. Not surprising as 12 is the highest score and it's such a magnificent number that there is a song about it. You will see their performance in the Grand Final, but we already have that video on our Youtube channel! 

@17:01 As you have probably heard, one of the interval acts in the Grand Final will be the performance of Emmelie's new song Join Us. The winner of 2013 Eurovision Song Contest, recorded a version of this song together with all the contestants this year. This track will be performend live from Copenhagen on Saturday before the voting.



@16:50 The Eurovision Song Contest has been the biggest and most popular event in Denmark for many years. Danes are so crazy about it that there is a Museum of Eurovision History, that is full of great memories going way back to the beginning in 1956 until today. @16:13 And the last song to be performed in the Final is the UNITED KINGDOM's entry, Children Of The Universe. The singer is Molly, who wrote the song along the Swedish producer Anders Hansson, and she will close the competition with her short feathered dress.

@16:08 Second from last is SAN MARINO, which won one of the 10 Final tickets from Semi-Final 1, for the first time in the Final since they joined the Eurovision family in 2008, and also the first time for Valentina Monetta, who is makeing her third appearance in a row this year with the song Maybe.

@16:04 And we come to the last three songs in the Final show. Number 24 is for THE NETHERLANDS and their simple country-inspired song Calm After The Storm performed confidently by Ilse DeLange and Waylon, or as they're called in this project, The Common Linnets.

@16:01 The home entry is performed at number 23. DENMARK is represented by Basim who has the task of succeeding Emmelie de Forest with his song Cliché Love Song, and of course he will try to do it with all the support from the Danish audience.

@15:45 SPAIN starts at number 19 with the power ballad Dancing In The Rain strongly performed by Ruth Lorenzo. She is assisted by four female backing singers and a storm on stage. As the rain stops the stage is filled with light and Ruth shines in the middle of it.

@15:41 Also fresh from the second Semi-Final comes FINLAND with the pop-rock song Something Better performed by the youngest male participants this year, the band Softengine and a stage full of lights and strobes helping the act to create a lively atmosphere.

@15:37 Number 17 belongs to SLOVENIA this year with the singer and flute player Tinkara Kovac. She qualified from the second Semi-Final yesterday with her song Round And Round / Splet bringing her country back in the Final for the first time in three years.

@15:33 One more of the big five countries come up on stage at number 16, it is ITALY and their big star Emma. She performs the rock tune La Mia Città, My City, which she explained it is not about one particular city but all the cities. She did not wear her Roman-glam outfit in today's rehearsal.

@15:28 RUSSIA is up next at number 15 with Masha and Nastya, the Tolmachevy twins, and their song Shine. They actually keep shining with the lights of the stage at the B&W Hallerne just as they did in the first Semi-Final.

@15:24 And we move on to the second half of the participants with FRANCE and the goup Twin Twin, Oh Yeah! They are one of the countries directly qualified for the Final with their lively song Moustache which today made it's first appearance in a dress rehearsal.

@15:12 Right after Austria come their neighbours of GERMANY, the band Elaiza, with the song Is It Right? and the three girls in the band just got covered in pink streamers after the performance of their song. As they didn't take part in Semi-Finals, enjoy Elaiza's preview video.

@15:04 The collaboration of the band Freaky Fortune and the rapper Riskykidd turns into a massive crowd pleaser at the B&W Hallerne and seems to be working with the voters too, as GREECE proceeded from yesterday's Semi-Final to the Final where they'll perform Rise Up joined by a trampolin jumper.

@15:01 At number 9 comes POLAND with the Slavic Girls captained by Cleo. Some clothes washing, butter making and ethnic sounds are the ingredients that music producer Donatan mixed to create the hit My Slowianie.

@14:58 When MONTENEGRO's Sergej Ćetković got the very first ticket for the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest Final he said he'd perform in this show on behalf of Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Serbia, which are not taking part this year. His big balkan ballad is called Moj Svijet.

@14:55 ARMENIA has been heavily tipped as the favourite by the bookmakers, since the songs were unveiled, and its singer Aram MP3 is already in the Final with his song Not Alone. He performs all alone on stage though, as song number seven.

@14:49 They performed last in yesterday's Semi-Final and they got number 6 for the Final. It's Paula Seling & Ovi from ROMANIA. They came third in 2010 with the song Playing With Fire and they try to win it this time with the song Miracle.

@14:25 One more time, we remind you that the running order for the Grand Final show was decided by the producers of the Eurovision Song Contest last night, after each country had picked in which half of the show they will participate.

Well, that's (of course) Chinese as this show celebrates music from all of Europe, but it's also a show that has a worldwide audience - including Chiina. 45 countries in total. There will be more than 180 million viewers around the globe.
