Since 2009, Dansk Melodi Grand Prix has had a fixed logo design, made up of three stars. Now this has been replaced by a round organism, from which something best described as organic light waves emmanate.
Head of Entertainment at broadcaster DR, Jan Lagermand Lundme, explained that "it has been very important to find a logo that is both modern, looks to the future and can last for many years. At the same time it should also look to the past; a logo that isn't just trendy but is classical and sustainable".
He went on to say, "this logo should be able to last for at least ten years; that is basically the thought behind it. It is a very classic logo but there are not any rules in terms of changing the colour scheme for example".

A new slogan

In addition to a new logo, the 2015 edition of Dansk Melodi Grand Prix has received its very own slogan: "Drømmen lever" or "The Dream Lives".
The Danish national final will take place at the Gigantium Arena in Aalborg on the 7th of February 2015, the fifth time the competition has taken place here. Tickets go on sale on Friday! You can see DR's website for more information.
An impressive 687 were submitted to take part in the show and the selection process for choosing the participants is well underway. The winner in February will have the honour of representing Denmark at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna, Austria on the 19th, 21st and 23rd of May!
