Cyprus 2025: Theo Evan releases 'Shh'

On Tuesday 11 March, the Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation (CyBC) unveiled the country’s entry for Basel 2025. Theo Evan, who was revealed to be representing Cyprus back in September 2024, will perform the song Shh. You can now watch the music video over on the official Eurovision Song Contest YouTube channel.

The song, produced with mystery and intensity in mind, invites listeners to uncover a hidden truth that will only be revealed on the Eurovision Song Contest stage in May! 

Shh was composed by Dimitris Kontopoulos, Elsie Bay, Linda Dale, Elke Tiel and Lasse Nymann. It will be performed in the Second Half of the First Semi-Final.

Theo Evan

A singer and dancer since the age of 7, and a songwriter since his teens, Theo Evan’s journey to the Eurovision Song Contest will be the latest chapter in the story of an artist that’s always had his passion for music as its central plot.

Born in Nicosia, his early days were spent in dance lessons, singing in his school choir and performing in a wide variety of theatre productions and talent shows across Cyprus, often earning awards and distinctions for his efforts. 

After graduating from The English School in Nicosia, Theo moved to the US to study music and performance at the internationally renowned Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. He completed his studies with distinction and has since been invited back as an honorary guest at the university’s graduation ceremony on three occasions, alongside the likes of Missy Elliot, Pharrell Williams, John Legend and Eurovision Song Contest 2016 interval act Justin Timberlake!

Theo released his very first single The Wall in 2021, and he’s built up a strong catalogue of singles since then, inspired by everything from Stromae to Michael Jackson to reggaeton.

Eagle-eyed viewers might have spotted Theo in HBO’s hit TV series Euphoria, where he’s appeared as an extra!
