
Cyprus: song revealed today!
28 February 2011 at 01:17 CETMany fans have been impatiently waiting for the revelation of the Cypriot song San Aggelos S’Agapisa since it was announced as the winner of an internal final which was organised by the Cypriot national broadcaster.
Christos Mylordos had been picked beforehand as the performer of the Cypriot song after he had won the competition Performance earlier in 2010 when he gathered more than 11000 votes from the televoting audience.
After that, a call for songs was launched and after an internal choice, it was finally San Aggelos S’Agapisa that was picked to be the Cypriot entry in the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest which will take place in Düsseldorf in May. The song has been composed by Andreas Anastasiou and the lyrics come from Michalis Antoniou.
The video for San Aggelos S’Agapisa by Maria Charis and was shot in Nicosia and Protara.
Cyprus will participate in the first half of the second Semi-Final of this year's Eurovision Song Contest which will take place on the 12th of May in Düsseldorf, Germany.
