Damir Kedžo wins Croatia's ticket to Rotterdam

Leaving behind 15 other contestants, Damir Kedžo won Croatia's national final 'Dora 2020'.

Damir will sing the song Divlji Vjetre in the second half of the first Semi-Final in Rotterdam on 12 May.

About Damir

Damir Kedžo is a 32-year-old pop singer and one of the most famous faces in Croatia's music scene. Damir was born in Omišalj, on the island of Krk, and began his music career 16 years ago in the show Story Supernova.

His songs have been amongst the most listened to in Croatia for the last few years, and his singles are award-winning hits. Sve u meni se budi was the most listened-to song in Croatia in 2017 with over 5 million YouTube views and Srce mi umire za njom is Ballad Winner at the Zagreb Festival and received the Cesarica Award in February 2019. Damir’s more recent single, Poljubi me sad, has also topped the charts and continues Damir's streak of success.

Outside of Croatia, Damir has won the Grand Prix of the Slavic Baazar Festival in Vitebsk, Belarus, and the New Wave Festival in Sochi, Russia.About Dora 2020

About the national final

This year's national final of Dora took place in Opatija for the 16th time; the show was broadcast from the Marino Cvetković Sports Hall.

Croatia's Eurovision 2019 representative Roko opened the show with a fully Croatian rendition of his participating song The Dream. He also performed as one of the interval acts.

Voting

The outcome of the final is a mix of a jury vote and public televote. HRT appointed 5 juries from all over Croatia that each consisted of 3 people; an HRT member, a Croatian Phonographic Association member and a Croatian Composers' Society member. The Croatian public was able to vote during a 10-minute voting window.

Croatia confirms 16 songs for Dora 2020

Dora 2020 HRT

After a submission period of 5 November to 15 December 2019, the Dora national selection committee has announced that 16 entries will battle for a ticket to Rotterdam during the Croatian national selection on 29 February 2020 at 20:00 CET.

As the crowning event of HRT Music Days in Opatija, Dora 2020 will take place on Saturday 29 February at the Marino Cvetković Sports Hall. The hall will be converted into a grand TV studio where the Croatian artist and song for the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest will be selected.

An updated list of participating artists has been announced. They are:

  3. Mia Negovetić - When it Comes to You
  4. Colonia - Zidina
  5. Zdenka Kovačićek - Love, Love, Love

  7. Jure Brkljača - Hajde nazovi me
  8. Damir Kedžo - Divlji vjetre (Tuga u bojama jeseni)
  9. Lorena Bućan - Drowning
