24 January 2009 at 23:26 CET

Tonight’s Icelandic semi-final saw another four entries on stage, in order of appearance (qualifiers in bold):

• Seth Sharp – Family
• Arnar, Edgar, Sverrir og Ólafur – Easy to Fool
• Kristín Ósk Wium – Close to You
• Kaja Halldórsdóttir – Lygin ein

Tonight’s show sent Arnar, Edgar, Sverrir og Ólafur's country song Easy to Fool – by Torfi Ólafsson and Þorkell Olgeirsson – and Kaja Halldórsdóttir's disco entry Lygin ein – by Albert G. Jónsson, the only song performed in Icelandic this night – to the final. Seth Sharp, with routine from previous years in Iceland, performing Óskar Páll Sveinsson's Family, and Kristín Ósk Wium with Grétar Sigurbergsson's Close to You are out of the competition.

The show was attended by the Icelandic special guest Hera Björk, who will perform Someday in the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix, the Danish national final, next Saturday.

The fourth and last Icelandic semi-final will take place on January 31st, and the grand final will be held on February 14th. Already qualified since the first two semi-finals are Edgar Smári with The Kiss We Never Kissed, Jóhanna Guðrún Jónsdóttir with Is It True, Ingó with Undir regnbogann and Hreindís Ylva Garðarsdóttir Holm with Vornótt.
