Countdown to Malmö: Thrilling thirds

With only two weeks to go until the first rehearsals for the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest begin in Malmö, we are celebrating with taking a look back at some of the entries that have made the show great over the past 9 years, when the Semi-Final format first appeared on our screens. 

Today, we are celebrating all the songs that came in third place since Istanbul in 2004 and right up until Baku in 2012. All the videos have been conveniently placed below for you to watch! Enjoy!

2004: Sakis Rouvas - Shake it  (Greece)

2006: Hari Mata Hari - Lejla (Bosnia & Herzegovina)

2007: Serebro - Song # 1 (Russia)

2011: Eric Saade - Popular (Sweden)

2012: Željko Joksimović - Nije Ljubav Stvar (Serbia)

Next time we will look at all the entries that came second since 2004, including one familiar face who also came third in the same time period! 

The 2013 Eurovision Song Contest will take place on the 14th, 16th and 18th of May at the Malmö Arena in Malmö, Sweden where 39 countries will compete for the ultimate prize.
