Eurovision champion Conchita Wurst has released a new single and announced an upcoming TV show that will air on German broadcaster ZDF.

Erstmal Pause (German for ‘First, Take A Break!’) is Conchita’s fourth single this year.

My team and I have already been working constantly during the pandemic, and the last few weeks we've been on the road virtually non-stop. Now we are happy that we can take a month off in the summer so that we can start again with fresh energy in the autumn,’ explained Conchita.

And she’ll need that energy… Conchita also has a brand new show ‘Music Impossible - My Song, Your Sound’ which will debut on ZDF on Friday 2 September.

The show will see two artists from different genres challenged to produce a song in the musical style of the other person and then perform it in front of a live audience. Schlager-legend Marianne Rosenberg and rapper Eko Fresh will kick-off the first episode, while heavy metal singer Doro Pesch and pop star Mike Singer appear in show two.

Conchita won the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen with her song Rise Like A Phoenix. It finished on top of the scoreboard with 290 points, delivering Austria’s first win since 1966.
