Chiara Dubey and Ally qualify in Swiss-Italian heat
24 October 2012 at 00:09 CESTThe radio channel Rete Tre has broadcast tonight's regional preselection heat live from the Living Room club in Lugano. The show was kicked off by a performance of Sinplus, the 2013 Swiss Eurovision representatives, who also come from the Italian-speaking part of the country.
The radio listeners could cast their votes along with a professional jury, and in the end, two lucky acts were chosen to go forward to the Swiss final. This is tonight's line-up (in order of appearance, qualifiers in bold):
- N2L - Smoke Out
- Vanda Palma - La Farfalla Va
- Theo - My Wonderful Life
- Sohaila - But Who
- Marilise - Nobody
- Chiara Dubey - Bella Sera
- Ally - Catch Me
First, the winner of the televote was announced: Chiara Dubey, who had already came third in the Swiss national final 2012, again won the hearts of the Swiss public, this time with her sweet ballad Bella Sera. After she had performed her entry once again, the jury announced their verdict. The jury speaker confirmed that they agreed with the choice of the radio listeners, and that the second finalist would be Ally.
A total of nine entries will be featured in the Swiss final, Die Grosse Entscheidungsshow, to be held in the Bodensee Arena in Kreuzlingen on 15 December. Along with tonight's qualifiers, three entries will be selected by the French-language broadcaster TSR, and four more by the German-language broadcaster SF. The latter will be chosen in an online selection, which is still ongoing.
